Our primary school is organised into four teams: Aroha (Years 1-2), Manahau (Years 3-4), Tumanako (Years 5-6) and Whakapono (Years 7-8). Each team is led by an experienced classroom teacher: Mrs Katrina Bannister (Aroha team), Jane Sutherland (Manahau team), Mrs Lynette Olson (Tumanako team) and Mrs Tarryn Rose (Whakapono team). Teachers within each team plan collaboratively and support one another, thereby strengthening curriculum delivery and assessment practices across the team.
Students with Special Education needs and students who are well below the National Standards for their year level are provided with teacher aide support under the leadership of our experienced SENCO, Mrs Lola James. Our dedicated ESOL teacher aide, Mrs Rebecca Jorgensen, provides support for students who require extra help learning the English language. Our GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) programme broadens the learning of students who have been identified as gifted or talented.
