In 2013, Cornerstone was given approval by the Minister of Education to extend the levels of education offered through to Year 13. The following year we began the process of growing our secondary school with our first Year 9 cohort. This cohort will graduate from Year 13 in 2018.
Our first full class set of NCEA results (Level 1, 2016) were very pleasing. So too were the 2015 Education Review Office readiness (to offer senior secondary) review and the 2016 full-school review. View our ERO reports.
We employ 11 secondary subject specialist teachers, a guidance counsellor and three support staff in the secondary school.
Subjects not taught by our staff here at Cornerstone are offered through an agreement with Manawatu College or through Te Kura/The Correspondence School.
