Out of 45 entries from 13 schools around the wider Manawatu, three Cornerstone teams were chosen for the Young Enterprise Scheme business proposal finals.
Competing for prizes of over $1000, as well as a spot at nationals, teams had five minutes each to wow the judges with their business plans.
Promoting their New Zealand native bird colouring book was the team named “Trail 3”. Opting to donate their books to Starship Children’s hospital, the team were highly commended for their digital design and artistry.
The other commendation won by Cornerstone students was by Sophie Field and Isaac Forrester who created women’s pamper packs. Judges were particularly impressed with the presentation of their product in the pressure situation.
