Ian McKelvie, Minister for the Rangitikei District, and Alfred Ngaro, National MP, visited Palmerston North to speak to Cornerstone students today.
The MPs told their journeys to Parliament, testimonies in the job, the power of having a cup of tea with someone, and the importance of Scripture and prayer in guiding your life. Students asked questions around a typical day at Parliament, what to study to pursue a career in politics, and what MPs eat for lunch. Many thanks were offered to the MPs for their time and wisdom.
Head Boy, Paula Tuimana, when thanking the men, recognised his shared Pacific heritage with Mr Ngaro, and the fine example he lives.
