Over 100 people came to this year’s Junior Social. Held at Youth Space, it was a chance for Year 9-11 students to dress up and dance. The event was catered by Year 11 students, who made stunning mini cupcakes, multi layer platters, savouries and chicken nuggets thrown in for the boys. The dance floor received a heavy workout. Heels were quickly discarded as the smoke machine, and disco balls synchronised with the DJ’s playlist. There was also a photo booth, a blue room to catch a breath, and quite a few teachers.
Year 13 Social Committee prefect, Rachel McCracken was delighted with the event. She was quick to thank her team of volunteers from the council and social committee for their various roles. She also wanted to thank Youth Space for providing a great venue. Youth Space staff congratulated the capable students for being “a dream to work with” – showing the feeling was mutual.
