In a fun afternoon of Waiata and songs to God, Zebulun tribe emerged victorious in the annual tribe singing competition. As a finish to Maori language week, it was fitting that each tribe sang a song in Te Reo Maori. There were adorable juniors singing solos, dance groups, a brass section, and some amazing vocals. Cornerstone’s student tech team grew with multiple cameras streaming to the rest of the school. The school’s new lighting rig got a good work out too.
Principal Mr Mitchell celebrated the various talents and skills students displayed. Zebulun Tribe managed the victory after singing “The Blessing”, with solos from a number of singers, including tribe leaders Evangeline and Abi. With a total score of 85/100, they were only just ahead of Issachar tribe on 83 who picked up another second place.
