As part of senior Business Studies class, a number of student groups chose to enter the local Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) competition. To qualify for regionals, secondary Business Studies students had to complete five challenges. These included developing, advertising, budgeting, and selling their own product. This competition work was on top of their NCEA assessments.
Once again Cornerstone punched above its weight: of the seven groups chosen for the Manawatu regional competition, three were made of Cornerstone Christian School Students.
Results
- Cornerstone students took home around $5000 worth of prizes.
- Niki Skaria and Anna Taylor-Brock ran a popular business named Cup A Plant. Judges were impressed with their positive presentation.
