Senior Leadership

Tēnā koutou.

Cornerstone Christian School is a treasured part of the Manawatu community. Since 1987, we have partnered with Christian parents and families to support students in both their academic learning and their formation in faith.

Tarryn and I come from a missions background, having served as missionary teachers at Faith Academy in the Philippines early in our teaching careers. I later continued in Christian Character Education within the New Zealand Catholic system before moving to Cornerstone as Deputy Principal in 2019.

My connection to Cornerstone extends even further, as both of our boys began their schooling here in Year 1. They are now in the Middle and Senior Schools. It is a privilege to lead the very school that has nurtured and educated our own sons.

I believe God created each of us in His image, uniquely gifted with talents, personalities, and strengths. Diversity is part of His design—we cannot all be hands or feet. When we encourage one another to follow Christ and use our gifts in community, we ensure that together we bear the “fruit that remains.”

Jesus calls us to “love the Lord your God and love your neighbour.” As we walk in this command, we learn to both receive and extend forgiveness, which opens the way for healing and restoration.

May God bless each of you as you continue your journey with Christ.
