Cornerstone’s Legacy of Faith & Growth

Cornerstone Christian School was founded on a shared vision among local Christian families—to provide quality, faith-based education from a biblical worldview. Since its beginnings in 1987, Cornerstone has grown steadily from a small primary school into a thriving Year 1–13 educational community. 1987

Cornerstone Christian School established as a private full primary (Years 1–8).

1987

Officially registered as a private school later that year.

1994

Became a state-integrated school; P.N. New Life Centre Charitable Trust became Proprietor.

1997

Roberts Line property purchased to accommodate growth.

2003

The entire school moved to Roberts Line; new address: 119 Mihaere Drive (after road extension).

2007

The entire school moved to Roberts Line; new address: 119 Mihaere Drive (after road extension).

2013

Minister of Education approved change of class to include Year 9–13 education.

2014 (July)

Roll cap increase approved to 580 students.

2014 (Dec)

Proprietorship transferred to Cornerstone Christian Education Trust.

2014

First multi-storey secondary block constructed.

2016

Second multi-storey secondary block built.

2018

Year 1–13 fully established.

2019

‘L-block’ relocated and refurbished with kitchen, drama space, classrooms, and resource rooms.

2020

School reached maximum roll of 580 students.

2022

Third multi-storey secondary block completed.
